First, this item is being offered as an "Apple iPhone" headphone, suggesting that it is an Apple product. It is not--it features lower quality earbuds. Second, and more important, it is not fully compatible w/ the iPhone. The plug is not quite the same and does not fit it well. Third and finally, it doesn't contain the microphone that characterizes the iphone headphone as opposed to an ipod headphone. In short, I am disappointed because this item is not what it purports to be.

This is NOT an Apple product. More importantly, they are standard earbuds, NOT an iPhone-compatible headset. Don't be fooled into buying something that looks like this. Amazon usually maintains very high standards to keep this kind of snake oil off the site, but somehow this got through. The proof is in the plug, count the rings: Two rings (three metal contacts) means standard stereo miniplug. Three rings (which makes four contacts) are needed for an iPhone headset.

This is not an apple product, this does not have a microphone, and it is not a headset.

These ear buds worked great for about a week. A week later only 1 of the earbuds works. i will not buy another pair of these.
