This charger works very well, there are no problems with it and it is a lot cheaper than getting a charger from the Apple store. I am very happy with it. The one thing that might annoy people (not me) is that there is always a small red light on whenever it is plugged in, though it's not a huge deal.

Not sure why anyone would pay full retail for an Apple iPod charger when this thing does the job for a fraction of the price. Buy a couple and keep one in your travel bag, one as a back-up, one plugged in the back of your stereo receiver, etc.

The little red light didn't turn on at first when I plugged it in. I tried many outlets, etc. Finally in frustaration I banged it against the wall. Then it worked. A good buy for a low price.

I was looking forward to getting a new charger for my iPhone and didn't want to pay a bunch for the Apple charger. Ordered this one and at first glance it appeared to be pretty decent. Unfortunately, it was broken within the first 2 hours of getting delivered to my house. The charger has prongs that flip up and down for easier packing, but the function causes a weak point in the product. I tried to plug it in the wall, heard something inside snap, and the prongs folded halfway into the charger. I'm no gorilla and used no more force than I normally would use while plugging something in. I was able to still use it after removing the cover and tweaking it, but the quality of this product is rather poor. You can't expect much for a $4 phone charger though. Also, be advised that although this will work for the 3GS and the 4, it will not work for the 3GS with an OtterBox Defender. The iPhone 4 with an OtterBox Defender will work with no problems. All that said, if you want a quality product that will last a while, spend a little more and avoid this product.
