Get what you pay for Oct 26, 2009
By Steve K. I was ecstatic about getting a couple of chargers for just a few bucks (when throwing in shipping). I bought one for any travelling I do (staged in the suitcase), and another staged at my girlfriend's house for when I'd visit. After a week or so (of perfect use), I noticed the one at her house would no longer fully charge my phone. At first I thought it was the phone, but the remainder charged fully when connected to my car charger heading home.
Long story short, I tried the one at her house again later, only charged phone about a quarter full. Replaced it with the one from the suitcase. Worked fine first few times, then had the same end result, where eventually it barely trickle charges the phone to about a quarter capacity then quit. My only guess as to why is a component within the plug that has a very short usability life cycle.
There are some good "cheaper" chargers on Amazon that work well. I have bought and used those with no problems. I took a chance on these "extreme cheapies" and now will buy a couple of the other chargers to replace these. Not even worth the couple of bucks. Better off spending twice the cost for the more durable ones.

DONT BUY- Fire hazard Dec 15, 2009
By Natalie J. Miller I was so excited to get my charger. Charging my phone on my computer was so annoying. I got this charger in Sept, and the very first time I used it, it had problems.
1. While having it plugged in, I couldn't text or use my phone. The charger made my phone go crazy. It would press random buttons, call random people, etc. SO annoying
2. The phone wouldn't stay attached to charger. I had to prop it up in a certain position to get it to actually connect.
3. The red light at the base of the charger was bright and incredibly hot
While all of these things sucked, this thing still charged my phone, so I dealt with them because the charger was cheap. Last week however, was the end all, of end alls: I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep when I smelled something burning. I looked at my charger across the room and it was smoking. More than half the charger was melted, and if I hadn't smelled it, it would've DEFINITELY started a fire. I am so lucky it didnt ruin my iPhone, but it could have easily burned down my house.
STAY AWAY!

iPhone travel charger Feb 18, 2008
By G. Galanti I recently went on a business trip and took the base and adapter for my iPhone to charge it, not realizing that I needed a 3rd piece, the cord. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to not be able to charge my phone, especially since my plane was delayed and diverted and I needed to call home several times as I watched my battery run down. I was afraid to use any of the entertaining portions of the iPhone because I wanted to save it for an emergency. As soon as I got home, I ordered the travel charger. It's only ONE piece of equipment that I need to bring to recharge the phone, and I know it will bring me piece of mind. I tested it at home and it works fine.

Will not work with iPhone Dec 02, 2010
By ElecTech So I order the product and plug it into my iPhone... The device stated that it does not support charging by this device.
They should edit their add to say that it does not work with a iPhone 3GS. Absolutely will not work!

waste of time and money Apr 03, 2011
By MyHumbleOpinion This charger does not work on an Iphone and the ad does not specify that. The price you pay makes it not worthwile to return and from reading the reviews that is how this company is making >TONS OF MONEYMost people buy the item trusting the advertising and not taking the time to read the reviews, myself included. Please read all of the reviews for this item before purchasing. From what I have read, this item does not last and does not work on other items as advertised.
